As we take time to sit down with our loved ones this Thanksgiving, there is much to be thankful for.  

 

We are thankful for the sacrifices of our brave men and women in uniform, who have courageously answered when called, served when summoned, and defended America with honor.

 

We are thankful for the American spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation. The talent and intellect of the American people has built the world’s most vibrant economy, and though our economy faces serious challenges, we will push through, continuing to grow and thrive.

 

We are thankful for our children, who will grow up to lead our nation.

 

And we are thankful for change – and the hope of a new direction. Working with the American people and President-elect Obama, there is so much we can do to get our economy moving, strengthen our communities, protect our environment, and create a better and healthier world for our children to grow up in
